The ocean has become the garbage can of the world

Did you know that over 80% of the garbage found in the oceans kills human and marine life, from landfills to beaches.
Each year more than 400,000 flip-flops arrive by ocean currents in Kenya and in particular on the shores of the Kiwayu Island Nature Reserve

Ocean Sole is a social enterprise that turns flip-flop pollution into colorful and fun art products to promote the conservation of our oceans.

At Ocean Sole, we process over 50 tonnes of flips-flops per year. By turning this waste into pieces of art we hope to draw attention to this serious global problem.
